Lacey has been chosen for a Ruth Katzman Scholarship for one 4-week residency session at The League Residency at Vyt, which will occur this summer 2015. The League Residency at Vyt fosters professional development for working artists. Hosting Open Studios, exhibitions and workshops, Vytlacil is an integral part of the Art Students League of New York's enduring mission to train great artists. Residents are given individual space to freely focus on their craft as well as ample opportunity to engage with a supportive society of artists and League staff who embody the creative spirit. While in residence, Lacey will work on paintings of performers in the NY/NJ area. She will sketch on location at nearby venues and aim to create a sense of atmosphere in her works.
