OPAL Programs : Online Programming for All Libraries

OPAL is an international collaborative effort by libraries of all types to provide web-based programs and training for library users and library staff members. These live events are held in online rooms where participants can interact via voice-over-IP, text chatting, and synchronized browsing.

An extention of the previous month's discussion on realism, this presentation focuses on the impact of modernism on formal art education. New developments such as the reemergence of the atelier and a new focus on traditional methods will also be explored.

First Fridays: Lacey Lewis on Choosing Realism 03-03-06
A presentation and informal discussion on why Lacey chose to be a traditional realist even though, because of modernism, there are so many other choices. She also explored issues of the impact of modernist art on public opinion of the arts and artists themselves, and what developments currently relate to the promotion of and return to classic/traditional standards.
